Jose Carmona was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Carmona attended UNLV’s Harrah Hotel College, ranked number one in the world for Hospitality Studies. After working for some of Las Vegas’s largest and most recognized hospitality companies, Mr. Carmona attended law school at the University of Idaho and UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law.
During Law School, Mr. Carmona received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Federal Civil Procedure, made Dean’s list on multiple occasions, and graduated with the recognition of Highest Pro Bono Honors. Additionally, Mr. Carmona was the legal extern for the National Labor Relations Board, the Board’s first extern in over ten years. Finally, Mr. Carmona served as a University Mentor to first year law students interested in transferring to Boyd, and coached mock trial at a local high school, Advanced Technologies Academy.
Mr. Carmona is married and has two dogs. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching sports, and attending Vegas Golden Knights and UNLV Runnin’ Rebel Basketball games.
